Jonny Drop is a DJ, Drummer, Producer, and avid record collector. Currently drumming with The Expansions, Andrew Ashong, and The Gene Dudley Group. Holding DJ residencies across London for the past 10 years, his unique ear and epic record collection means that every session is varied. Funk, Soul, Jazz, Rhythm'n'Blues, through to Nu-Disco, Trip-hop and Deep House music are some of the sounds that he blends seamlessly in his sets. He has toured Europe and the UK as a DJ and Drummer, and now is focusing on the writing and production of his first LP to be released later this year on Albert's Favourites. His tunes draw upon influences from many corners of the musical spectrum, inspired by diverse artists like DJ shadow, Nighmares On Wax, Quantic, Eddie Bo and Miles Davis. March 2008 saw Jonny's first release hit the digital shelves in the form of 'Well Kept Grass', a deep & funky soundscape, driven by a rolling disco-house groove. Since then there are 6 releases (originals/remixes) available on the web through international record labels, like Desmo Records (Dubai) Nightrain Music (U.S.A), G.F.K Records (Italy), English Breakfast (UK) and Renommee (Germany).
